EF Education First, the world leader in international education, is looking for a passionate, organized,
and hardworking Manager to lead one of our Flights Inventory Teams. In this role, you will be a member
of an energetic, multinational team and report to the Director of Flights Inventory for EF Educational
Tours.

The ideal candidate is willing and open to develop strong staff management skills, skilled at motivating a
newly developed team and committed to setting the team up for success to ensure every EF Educational
Tours’ traveler has the best possible flight at the best possible cost.

What you’ll be doing

  • Overseeing all flight bookings for the EF Educational Tours team.
  • Setting and implementing workflows and processes between the Educational Tours Travel team and counterparts in Sales, Land Operations and Finance.
  • Planning, evaluating, and improving the efficiency of business processes and procedures to enhance speed and quality.
  • Ensuring quality itineraries are being provided to deliver on customer and product expectations.
  • Gaining in-depth knowledge of airline contracts and the GDS (Amadeus and Sabre) to ensure all flight options are being considered and the best itinerary is secured.
  • Establishing strategic, realistic, and motivating goals for the entire team as a whole and for individual staff based on pertinent business, financial and historical information.
  • Working with the Director on budgeting and Key Figure Reporting preparation.
  • Coordinating resolutions for escalated issues from Sales Directors, Land Operations and Airline
  • Partnership Managers.
  • Supervising a team of up to 13 full-time Flight Coordinators.
  • Acting as part of the itinerary review process across your team and approving over budget flights as needed.
  • Providing ongoing support, training, and development for Flight Coordinators who report to you.
  • Assisting the larger Travel management team with training and development support for staff as needed.
  • Working closely and collaboratively with several stakeholders at all levels of the business.
  • Supporting your fellow Travel teammates with other assignments as necessary to ensure that flights are delivered on time, on budget and within quality guidelines

  • University or similar post-secondary degree, with a tourism, hospitality, or logistics focus
  • preferred.
  • Previous experience working or studying in an international environment is preferred.
  • Experience in the Travel or Airline industry with GDS (Amadeus or Sabre) knowledge an advantage.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in leadership role with staff management responsibilities.
